There were 2,639 finished in January; 3,135 deeds finished in February; and 9,980 finished in March.

Race War in Linden Hills

In the very first days of 1910, a group of white Linden Hills residents declared that "a strong attempt will be made to oust" the "negro families living in the vicinity" of their homes. Learn more on the blog.

Sabathani Community Center “Owning Up” Exhibit Opening & Fundraiser

an event poster for Thursday, May 2 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. called "Owning Up" at the Sabathani Community Center.
“Owning Up: Racism and Housing in Minneapolis” explores the history of racial housing discrimination in Minneapolis through the stories of three black families. 

The exhibit, which just finished a four-month run at the Hennepin History Museum, has moved to Sabathani Community Center. 

On May 2, join curators and community members to celebrate this move. This event will raise funds for the programs at Sabathani, which provides essential resources to the Southside community.
